About

Bonjour Tout Le Monde!

Hello World!

Bienvenue sur le blog de connexion française!

Welcome to The French Connection UK blog!

I intend on making this site a fun and feel-good place to be, by bringing a hint of French essence to the UK!

My aim? To turn that ‘boring French class at school’ into something that WE can relate to and enjoy.  So many students disregard French as an option when it comes to choosing classes, yet with it being the World’s second most spoken tongue after English – it is a vital part of our cultural existence.

“But I’m never going to go to France – so I don’t need it!” I may here you say!  But nobody knows where this path of life may take us – through careers, business, relationships……by knowing just the basics of another language can really take you far!

Now, before I start to sound like a teacher, lets get down to basics of this site, and what to expect over the coming weeks….

  • French Music –

French music goes so much further than Eurovision, you know!  I hope to blog on some of my personal fave French Pop artists, as well as the artists who are currently lighting up the charts across France. (French X Factor, anyone? ;))

  • French Fashion –

All the glitz and glamour of a Parisian catwalk I hear you say? Totally!  The biggest French brands and how they influence many of our own High Street fashion stores.

  • French Culture –

Paris holds so much more than a tower and a river!

Amazing shops, picturesque settings and a 24-7 non-stop whirlwind of youth and beauty.  You want it? Paris has definitely GOT IT!

And lastly….Moi! Me!

I have studied French on and off for coming up to 10 years soon.  I attend a part-time French class at my local college on a Thursday evening, and I will be giving updates every once in a while on what we have studied during the evening(s).

I’ll also be uploading any of my own ‘French finds’ throughout the month.  Meaning anything that takes my fancy that has a French connection to it, can be snapped and put on the homepage!

Get ready to connect to France in a whole new way!

A bientôt! See you soon!
