A Belgian pop/dance artist with a great voice and a string of French sung hits!
Kate’s first album, the 2001 ‘Different’ featured English and French songs, with many becoming instant hits across Europe, giving her global recognition.
In 2009 Kate released the album ‘French Connection’ (a-ha!), consisting of French-language-only material of many of her previous hits throughout the years.
One of my personal favourites is the lesser known 2004 album track ‘Je Lance Un Appel’ (‘To You I Appeal’ / ‘I Call’) taken from her Gold certificated album ‘Stronger’.
I particularly like the lyrics ‘Apprends à me lire, pour comprendre mes raisons – Notre avenir n’est plus qu’une douce illusion..’
